40 year old Daniel E. Hall of Pana was arrested Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $5,000.

25 year old Jamaal S. Jackson of Decatur was arrested Monday on an original arrest warrant for contempt of court with bond set at $1,500.

ACCIDENTS:

62 year old Douglas E. Meyer of Taylorville was heading east on IL Rt. 48, and struck a deer that had run into the roadway. No injuries were reported.

76 year old Anita M. Daly of Taylorville Stated she went to turn into Wendys in Taylorville and turned in front of 48 year old Tony E Wallace of Tower Hill. Daly did not think that Wallace made contact with her. Wallace stated that Daly turned from the outside lane across his lane, forcing him to swerve to the right, going over the curb, and scraping the Wendy’s entry sign. Wallace stated he thought he made contact with Daly but could not find visible damage on either vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Accidents:

26 year old Troy E. Wells Jr. of Petersburg began backing up in a parking lot at 110 W. Taylorville road, and backed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On February 17th 32 year old Jason J. Gongloff of Taylorville was traveling south on IL Rt. 29. Just before 1725 North, Gongloff left the roadway to the left and entered the median, then traveled across the northbound lanes of traffic. Gongloff eventually struck the ditch on the east side of the northbound lane. Upon hitting the ditch, Gongloff’s vehicle rolled twice before coming to a rest on it’s wheels in the field on the east side of northbound Rt. 29. Gongloff was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries.

59 year old Domenic T. Cimarusti of Morrisonville was leaving the parking lot of Sunkist Cleaners and struck the gutter on the overhead pavilion. Cimarusti said he did not realize he had struck the gutter causing damage. Cimarusti was located at the owner's residence by Morrisonville PD.

17 year old Madelyn J. Althoff of Taylorville was heading south on Cottage St. 67 year old Carolyn X. Mohn of Taylorville was heading west on Elm. Althoff proceeded through the intersection without slowing down due to the fact that the yield sign was missing. Mohn hit Althoff in the intersection. No injuries were reported.

26 year old Hannah E. Dorchinecz of Taylorville was exiting the parking lot of Walgreens onto Spresser street when the car in front of Dorchinecz stopped and backed up, causing damage. The other car left the scene, and no injuries were reported.

On February 21st, 33 year old Erin I. Passini of Taylorville said she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Franklin and Webster Streets, did not see 56 year old Jeffrey S. Powers of Cerro Gordo, and continued into the intersection striking Powers in the passenger side. Powers said he stopped and proceeded through the intersection and was struck by Passini. No injuries were reported.

43 year old James A. Peacock of Taylorville was traveling north on 800 East road. Peacock missed a curve in the roadway, then ran off the roadway, striking a utility pole causing damage to the pole and the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

30 Beau T. Jackson of Effingham was turning left into a residence drive off of state highway 104. Jackson stated he had his turn signal on to turn into the drive when 23 year old Samantha J. Woods of Kincaid struck the rear of his trailer. Woods said she didn’t see the turn signal, and couldn’t stop to avoid striking the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

34 year old Kathryn J. Kohl of Taylorville was traveling north east on IL Rt. 48. At approximately 295 north, Kohl crossed the southbound lane and left the roadway. After leaving the roadway, Kohl traveled about 150 feet into the field before coming to a stop. Kohl advised that the last thing she remembered before waking up in her car in the field, was traveling through Harvel, about two miles south of where she drove off the roadway. Kohl said she had not eaten that day prior to the crash, and had felt light headed. No injures were reported.

Williams said he stopped at the sign and entered the intersection, striking Long. Williams said he did not see Long in the intersection. Long had a small contusion near his left eye, but refused medical attention.

23 year old Kyle E. Nation of Taylorville was heading north on cottage street. Nation stated he did yield, but didn’t see the van heading westbound on Elm. 62 year old Janet K. Christopherson of Morrisonville was traveling westbound when Nation pulled out infront of Christopherson in the intersection. Christopherson struck Nation on the back passenger side. No injuries were reported.

ACCIDENTS:

21 year old Joseph P. Sassatelli of Kincaid was heading south on Tuesday, and traveling behind 52 year old Penny L. Amos of Edinburg. Sassatelli stated he had dropped his spit cup and looked down to try to pick it up. When he looked back up, Amos had slowed to turn into the driveway at 1956 North, 700 East Road. Sassatelli hit Amos in the rear, causing Amos to lose control and overturn. Amos’s vehicle came to rest in the driveway on the drivers side. Amos was taken to Memorial Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

On Tuesday, 22 year old Megan L. Davis of Taylorville said she didn’t realize the light had changed to red. Davis entered the intersection and struck the side of 40 year old Kenna E. Mink of Kincaid’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Accidents:

39 year old Johnathan T. Pearson of Taylorville driving a semi truck was westbound on County Highway 4 just west of Moweaqua. 64 year old David A. Eschbaugh of Shelbyville in a car pulled out of a private drive in front of Pearson and began heading west on the highway as well. About 50 yards down the road, Eschbaugh began to turn left into another private drive. Pearson said Eschbaugh did not activate his turn signal before turning, although Eschbaugh said he had. Pearson attempted to go around Eschbaugh on the left, when the right front of Pearson’s vehicle struck the left side of Eschbaugh’s. No injuries were reported.

42 year old Brenda S. Emerson of Taylorville was heading east on IL Route 104. At about 957 East, Emerson lost control on the snow and ice covered roadway, started to spin, and slid off the north side of the road. Emerson crashed into a driveway pillar at the residence at that address, causing damage to the rear end of the vehicle and to the stone pillar.

17 year old Allison M. Shanks of Stonington was heading east on 1700 North. Shanks lost control of the vehicle on the ice, and went into the ditch sideways causing the vehicle to roll. No injuries were reported.

ACCIDENTS:

57 year old Debra M. Turvey of Taylorville was heading north on County Highway 22, and stated that she started to slide out of control, slid across the southbound lane, and struck the ditch causing the vehicle to roll onto the driver's side. Turvey was transported to TMH to be treated for minor injuries.

59 year old Thomas I. Nation of Taylorville was northbound on State Highway 48. Nation stated he was following a truck and a 55 gallon barrel fell off the back striking his vehicle. No injuries were reported.

ACCIDENTS:

On February 8th, 27 year old Krystal L. Embry of Nokomis was traveling west on Illinois Route 16. At about 1895 East, Embry hit a slick spot in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. The back end of the vehicle slid to the side, and the vehicle began to roll. After rolling over 4 times, the vehicle came to rest on it’s top in the ditch on the north side of the road. Embry was taken to Pana Community Hospital to be treated for injuries.

On February 8th, 24 year old Ashley R. Nolan of Springfield was traveling northbound on County Highway 23. Just north of Township Road 2400 north, Nolan lost control on the snow covered roadway, and began to spin. The vehicle then left the roadway and struck the ditch embankment on the east side of the road, and came to a rest. No injuries were reported.
