(Washington, DC) — Washington, DC U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has formed a new division that will target fraud against the federal government.

Pirro announced the new Fraud and Asset Recovery Division yesterday.

Federal prosecutors will work with investigators, auditors and staff to handle False Claims Act and civil fraud cases.

The move shifts resources from Affirmative Civil Enforcement to cover the new workload.
